Our History

Stella Adler Studios was founded in 1949 by the legendary actress and teacher, Stella Adler. Meet Our Team

Sarah Johnson

Head of Acting Department
Sarah Johnson is an accomplished actress and director with over 20 years of experience in the industry. She holds an MFA in Acting from Yale School of Drama and has performed in numerous stage productions, films, and television shows. Sarah is passionate about nurturing the next generation of actors and helping them develop their unique artistic voices.

Michael Brown

Voice and Speech Coach
Michael Brown is a renowned voice and speech coach with a background in linguistics and performance. He holds a PhD in Linguistics from Columbia University and has worked with actors on Broadway, in film, and on television. Michael is dedicated to helping actors develop powerful and versatile voices and to improve their articulation and vocal control.

Emily Davis

Improvisation and Physical Theater Instructor
Emily Davis is an expert in improvisation and physical theater. She has toured internationally and brings a dynamic and engaging approach to her teaching. Emily holds a BFA in Theater from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and has trained with some of the world's leading improvisation and physical theater companies. She is passionate about helping actors develop their spontaneity, creativity, and physical expression.
